Entry 1
My routine everyday is the same, wake up, eat breakfast, shower, and go to work.
Today I ate some cereal, showered for a few minutes, and hopped on the bus, it's about a 20 minute drive to the building that I work at. I mean the work is alright and the pay isn't bad, but I usually just spend 2 hours of doing actual work and the rest is just me on the computer playing some games in my cubicle.
The computer at my desk is pretty slow — but not really, sometimes it goes really fast — but not really.
When I got home, I continued my typical routine which consists of watering my tiny house plant, laying in my worn-out chair and doing some channel surfing on my TV.
My beige carpet is worn out, the refrigerator handle is always loose, the floor tiles are a little broken.
My house is perpetually stuck in 1974 (which is ironically when the house was built), I don't mind it that much, but it doesn't really suit my interior design tastes.
I sort of miss those checkerboard kitchen tiles that were so popular in the 1950s despite them being sort of an eyesore. There's something about the black and white squares that's really unpleasant to the eyes. Those checkerboards are the stuff of nightmares in the wrong light or perfectly quirky in the right one. I'd honestly consider this type of designt to be in a weird middle ground of being classic but also outdated — it has it has certain aesthetic appeal, but it's not really something you'd intentionally want to put in your new house.
What was even the deal with those popcorn ceilings? Glad that's not a thing anymore, makes the ceiling look infected or something.
These new houses have a pretty clean look, but I personally don't approve of the overly minimalistic design of having such open space.
Anyways, I think I'm getting sleepy, time to call it a night.

[I feel it coming on]
[I know there's something wrong]
[I don't even know you yet]
[But I know what you want to do to me]

They're just lyrics to a Reel Big Fish song.
